Akamai reveals "State of the Internet" Report

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Akamai Technologies  has released its  Fourth Quarter, 2013 State of the Internet Report . Based on data gathered from the Akamai Intelligent Platform, the report provides insight into key global statistics such as network connectivity and connection speeds, attack traffic, broadband trends and availability, and IPv6 adoption. It also includes measurements of page load times using Akamai’s real user monitoring (RUM) capabilities, and provides insights on Akamai traffic activity related to Internet disruptions in Syria, Suriname, Guyana, Libya and Cuba. The global average connection speed continued to improve, with a quarterly increase of 5.5%, reaching 3.8 Mbps. Redington to distribute Dell's Enterprise Products

The partnership will aim at strengthening Dell’s distribution business strategy launched last month in the Indian market. Nokia makes Asha touch phones more user friendly

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Bringing new functionality and improvements to its Asha range of devices,  Nokia  has rolled out a new software update, platform 1.4, for its Asha touchscreen phones. The new firmware offers several improved features such as MixRadio (an enhanced music application), a better camera, OneDrive access and a more social and updated Fastlane. The update is available for  Asha 230 , Asha 500,  Asha 501 , Asha 502 and Asha 503. The latest Asha software update brings Nokia's MixRadio, the free and personalized music streaming service. For those without access to data connection on the move, Nokia MixRadio will even allow users to listen to music offline. Nokia MixRadio is available on Asha 500, Asha 502 and Asha 503 devices.
