Zinnov releases its latest study titled 'Indian SMB ICT Adoption Insights'

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Zinnov has released its latest study titled 'Indian SMB ICT Adoption Insights' highlighting the current state of IT adoption in the SMB segment in India, and predicting the likely trends going forward. The study provides a detailed analysis of the different opportunities, challenges and scope related to IT spending and technology adoption in the sector that may result in SMBs contributing to over one third of the total domestic IT spend by2015. The study reveals that today five lakh SMBs in India have websites and two million SMBs are accessing the Internet. Increased adoption of PCs by SMBs is also another significant factor that will fuel the growth of this sector. ASSOCHAM: Indian urban youth are less-interested in social media profiles

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE A survey has been conducted by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) which revealed that nearly 30 per cent of Indian urban youth have believed to deactivate or deleted their accounts and profiles from these websites and it is no longer a craze among them. DS Rawat, Secretary General, ASSOCHAM shared, "Tech overload is apparent among youth and their fixation with social media seems to be eroding as they have started focusing on more important things than grooming their digital identities." Indian Universities offers IBM System z Mainframe training

European and Indian Research and Technology Organizations to Produce Joint Roadmap for Advanced IT Research

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE The Open Group and the Interactive Technology Software and Media Association (ITSMA) have announced that they have partnered with a consortium of leading European and Indian research and technology developers to identify future areas for coordination of government funded IT research. Supported by the European Commission, the Fostering Cooperation in Computing Systems for EU and India (EU-INCOOP) project is investing over 460,000 EURO (US$630,000) to bring together leading researchers from India and Europe to identify priorities and develop a joint research roadmap that is said to increase cooperation and address future technology needs in each region.
