HPE spins off its Services Business, merges it with CSC

A surprise announcement made on Tuesday saw Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) spinning off its technology services division by merging it off with Computer Sciences Corp (CSC), an American company. The outsourcing and management services deal that follows the split of Hewlett-Packard Co. last October will have HPE owning half of the new company. HPE CEO Meg Whitman will be on the new company’s board, and HPE and CSC will each nominate half of the board members. CSC’s current CEO, Mike Lawrie, will become CEO of the new company.
