Gigabyte shatters AMD "Trinity" APU Speed Record

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Gigabyte Technolgy  has announced the record highest clock speed 7.86GHz on AMD’s A10 5800K APU using the GIGABYTE F2A85X-UP4 motherboard.  Attending an AMD Extreme OC show on 20th November in Taipei (Taiwan), Gigabyte’s overclocking team, The Killers (featuring HiCookie, S.Dougal and John Lam), took part in an overclocking demonstration achieving two new records on AMD’s new Vishera and Trinity platforms. The GIGABYTE F2A85X-UP4 motherboard was able to push the AMD 5800K to an incredible 7.86GHz, more than twice the 3.8GHz stock clock. VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE AMD has launched the AMD Fusion Family of Accelerated Processing Units (APUs), a single-die design that combines the multi-core CPU (x86) technology with the powerful DirectX 11-capable graphics and a parallel processing engine. The APU also includes a dedicated high-definition video acceleration block and a high-speed bus that speeds data across the differing types of processor cores within the same design.
