McAfee has announced the continued growth of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) with the addition of 19 new partners to the program, and seven newly-certified integrated solutions. McAfee SIA helps accelerate the development of open and interoperable security products, simplify integration with complex customer environments, and provide a truly integrated, connected security ecosystem to maximize the value of existing customer security investments. According to the McAfee report, Hacking the Skills Shortage, demand for cybersecurity professionals is outpacing the supply of qualified workers. McAfee cautions global fans of 2018 Winter Games Cyberattacks

With the advent of the 2018 Winter Games, McAfee forewarns global fans, consumers, athletes and organizations alike of impending Winter Games-themed phishing attacks. Through these attacks, cybercriminals are most likely seeking passwords and financial information, using a number of techniques to entice victims into opening weaponized documents. Tactics include email distributed from “spoofed” corporate-branded email addresses, emails written in native languages, and the addition of attached documents marked as “protected”. McAfee has recently uncovered Operation GoldDragon, a malware attack targeting organizations affiliated with the 2018 Winter Games. Anand Prahlad to head McAfee India Ops

In his new role, Prahlad will be supported by the leaders of the McAfee India Executive Team in driving the maturity and success of the site. He will also maintain his current role as a VP in the Endpoint Security group. Company veteran Sridhar Jayanthi will take a six-month leave of absence.
