Anand Prahlad to head McAfee India Ops 
McAfee has announced two changes in the research and development (R&D) organization which include Beginning October 1, Anand Prahlad, currently Vice President of Engineering for Endpoint Security, will assume the role of Managing Director of Operations, McAfee India. In his new role, Prahlad will be supported by the leaders of the McAfee India Executive Team in driving the maturity and success of the site. He will also maintain his current role as a VP in the Endpoint Security group.

Company veteran Sridhar Jayanthi will take a six-month leave of absence. Upon his return to McAfee in 2013, Jayanthi will be based in the United States in a new role where he will be responsible for R&D’s global strategy and execution on mergers and acquisitions. Jayanthi will continue to report directly to Bryan Barney, Executive Vice President of Product Operations.


“Anand has been a valuable asset to McAfee India, and as Sridhar’s groomed successor, has been a critical component in many of the site’s recent successes,” said Barney.
“I am proud and excited to be taking on the role of Head of India Operations. It will be an absolute honor to work with the McAfee Executive team, as well as the Leadership team in India, to help take the organization forward and to greater successes,” said Prahlad.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications.
