DoT's recommendations for spectrum auction

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE DoT  has issued the guidelines for the spectrum auction beginning November 12. It states that Telecom companies whose licences have been cancelled by the Supreme Court will have to pay one-time, non-refundable entry fee Rs.1 crore for unified licences for each service area.  Moreover, the companies who have lost their licences after the Supreme Court judgement will be treated as new companies for participating in the auction and they need to obtain Unified Licence if they win the spectrum.  According to the Notice Inviting Application (NIA) issued by DoT "Entry fee (non-refundable) Rs.1 crore for each Service Area Level UL (Access Services), except for Jammu & Kashmir and North East Service Areas where the Entry Fee shall be Rs.50 lakh each.... Apple Stores likely in India

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   The two senior executives who have business relations with the California-based company in India has revealed that  Apple  further plans to set up its own stores in India, if the Indian government eases local sourcing conditions. The brand has, however, refused to comment on its India plans or whether it would ask the government to provide flexibility with regard to local sourcing rules. Tim Cook, CEO, further explained that the multi-layered distribution in India adds to the cost of bringing products to the Indian market. It is also believed that, traditionally, India has not been a high-priority market for Apple, and it takes months before its newly-launched products start selling in India officially through re-sellers....
