To support Digital India initiatives, global networking major Cisco Systems has signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government on 17th March, 2016 to carry out a broadband project in the state. The project will be focussed on placing a 22,500-km-long broadband network, which will cover two million households. The company has plans to set up a manufacturing unit in Pune in the country. While his visit to Hyderabad, Satya Nadella, CEO Microsoft, has promised to open a Centre of Excellence in Visakhapatnam and also vowed to work with the Telangana government’s start-up incubator T-Hub.
