Riverbed bags Technology of the Year Award

67% Indian Children start using FB before 10 Years

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Asian School of Cyber Laws (ASCL)  has recently conducted a Survey on Cyber Attitude of School Children across schools in India. The survey covered 13,050 school students (7th, 8th, 9th and 10th standards) spread across Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Patiala, Bhatinda and Nellore. The survey was conducted in physical form with printed questionnaires being handed over to the students in class during regular school hours. Participants were gifted specially designed bookmarks based on the theme of "Cyber Security". The survey disclosed interesting statistics on how school children perceive social networking sites. These sites have claimed an important place in their habitual lifestyle. Despite being underage (social networking sites require one to be 18 or above according to policies on their web sites), countless school students were found to be active with multiple accounts on social networking sites. The digital bits captured or created each year in India are expected to grow from 127 EB to 2.9 ZB between 2012 and 2020. India’s digital information explosion is being driven by proliferation of devices such as PCs and smartphones worldwide, increased Internet access within emerging markets and the boost in data from machines such as surveillance cameras or smart meters. HP revamps its "PartnerOne" Channel Programme

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ)  has rolled out an overhaul of its  PartnerOne channel programme  backed up by a partner recruitment effort that could add more than 3,000 new solution providers to the fold. The new PartnerOne initiatives were unveiled at the company's Global Partner Conference in Las Vegas this week where 2,000 of the $120 billion company's partners - representing more than $35 billion in sales - will gather to gauge HP's channel commitment. At the heart of the channel charge is what HP is calling a simplified "pay for performance" PartnerOne programme backed up by a recruitment initiative. HP, in fact, is looking to add 2,500 new partners in its Enterprise Group, 500 new partners in its Software Group and 200 new  cloud service providers .
