Intel's CPU shortage will affect the forthcoming launch of Intel's ninth-generation Core processors. Now a question comes, does Intel's production problems will bring opportunity for the AMD ? we have to wait and watch for the fourth quarter. Huawei has entered into partnership with Intel and launched the 3GPP 5G New Radio (NR)- based Interoperability Development Testing (IODT) to verify the 5G technologies and degree of maturity. The partnership is a sign that the industry is rapidly maturing and preparing for the upcoming commercial deployment of 5G from end-to-end under unified 5G standards. At the global 5G testing summit at 2017 MWC this February, Huawei, Intel and their telecom operator partners jointly announced that they would work to drive globally unified 5G standards through 5G testing, enhance cooperation among telecom operators, equipment manufacturers and vertical industry partners, create a unified 5G industry chain from chips, terminals, to network infrastructure and test equipment, and build a global 5G ecosystem. For its eight generation of its Core chips, Intel is sticking to the Kaby Lake architecture but as far as its performance goes, the internal testing looks quite promising. The company says the chips are capable of a 40-percent increase over their predecessors - and even more notable for those finally ready to upgrade an old system: about double the performance of a five year old device.  The performance boost comes as laptop makers are expected to increasingly push the envelope with their systems. Now that the mobile has been completely out of Intel’s radar thanks to companies like Qualcomm, Intel is clearly looking to maintain its foothold in the laptop market. Brian Krzanich, CEO-Intel has resigned from the American Manufacturing Council, the group set up by President Donald Trump to advise his government on issues related to manufacturing in the country, over current political climate in the US and alleged politics-driven hate crimes.  His resignation came days after Trump’s response to the violence at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia on 12 August.  Krzanich’s statement on his resignation from the American Manufacturing Council  “Earlier today, I tendered my resignation from the American Manufacturing Council. Taking the Digital India commitment forward, Intel India has launched the Intel Education Digital Wellness Program in Assam. This also includes the release of an Assamese version of Digital Wellness curriculum for students and teachers in government schools. As part of this initiative, Intel India will closely work with the education ecosystem in Assam to enable a safe cyberspace for the students and youth. The announcement comes as the latest in a series of engagements that Intel has been running in the state since 2006. Intel for the very first time conducted the two-day Intel IoT Roadshow (1st and 2nd August 2015) in Pune with a total of 120 plus participations. A new report, Tackling Attack Detection and Incident Response, from Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG), commissioned by Intel Security, examines organizations’ security strategies, cyber-attack environment, incident response challenges and needs. The survey found that security professionals are inundated with security incidents, averaging 78 investigations per organization in the last year, with 28 per cent of those incidents involving targeted attacks – one of the most dangerous and potentially damaging forms of cyber-attacks.
