As per news report, Cisco has roped in Sameer Garde as President, India and SAARC operations. He has succeeded Dinesh Malkani. Sameer will take over the responsibilities from August 1, 2017. Dinesh Malkani, Cisco India and SAARC President, has resigned and is now believed to take on a leadership role at a start-up, but details of the same could not be ascertained. He will continue in his role until 31st July and remain associated with Cisco till the end of September.  Malkani was, however, unavailable for comments and the development was confirmed by people at Cisco. The development comes at a time when Cisco is betting big on the “Digital India” wave in the country.
