Schneider Electric appoints Nikhil Pathak as India VP

Nikhil takes over from Shrinivas Chebbi, who has moved to a new role as the Vice President, Buildings Business, Schneider Electric India. Kaspersky conducts Technical Training Programmes for Partners

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Kaspersky Lab  has conducted 9 training programmes for its retail partners, out of which 8 were technical trainings and the remaining one was a sales training. The format was a two-day training course with hands-on lab exercises. The training programmes took place in four different cities: Mumbai, Nasik, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Kicked off along with the launch of  Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business (KESB) , the trainings are part of the ongoing partner enablement undertaken by Kaspersky Lab for its B2B partners. Till now, more than 77 engineers got trained in the programme that was participated by over 49 partner organizations from across South Asia. WD and SanDisk collaborate to create SSH Drives

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   WD(NASDAQ:WDC)  and  SanDisk Corporation(NASDAQ:SNDK)  have announced that the two companies are collaborating to introduce hybrid storage devices that feature flash memory technology from SanDisk and hard drive technology from WD. SanDisk is supplying its  iSSD storage devices  for the WD Black solid-state hybrid drive (SSHD), the 2.5-inch SSHD solution, which utilizes both WD proprietary hybrid technology and industry standard SATA IO technology. Dell acquires Cloud Start-up "Enstratius"

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   As per an announcement made by  Dell(NASDAQ:DELL) , it has acquired a cloud start-up firm Enstratius . The acquisition is expected to give Dell another way to provide end-to-end-cloud solutions. Founded in 2008, Enstratius provides single and multi-cloud management capabilities as well as DevOps space, which will help Dell to move deeper into the software business. Enstratius is available as a  Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)  or as on-premises software. Presently, the company supports more than 20 public and private cloud platforms, including OpenStack,  VMware , Rackspace, Amazon Web Services and Windows Azure , with the added flexibility to easily add new clouds.
