Dell acquires Cloud Start-up  
As per an announcement made by Dell(NASDAQ:DELL), it has acquired a cloud start-up firmEnstratius. The acquisition is expected to give Dell another way to provide end-to-end-cloud solutions.
Founded in 2008, Enstratius provides single and multi-cloud management capabilities as well as DevOps space, which will help Dell to move deeper into the software business. Enstratius is available as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or as on-premises software. Presently, the company supports more than 20 public and private cloud platforms, including OpenStack, VMware, Rackspace, Amazon Web Services andWindows Azure, with the added flexibility to easily add new clouds.
It is worth noticing here that Dell has been making some interesting moves with its cloud approach in the recent times. Recently, Dell launched Project Fast PaaS, part of the new Dell Cloud Labs, which also includes Project Sputnik, the Linux laptop for developers and Crowbar and the open-source cloud deployment framework.
