Vodafone Group enters into licensing agreement with VMware

Vodafone Group has agreed to a software licensing arrangement with VMware that will enable it to access a range of the technology vendor’s products. As part of that agreement, VMware will be one of the vendors to support the operator’s global rollout of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) to accelerate its delivery of future products and services in a rapid, cost-efficient manner. VMware has announced that it will become the first unified endpoint management (UEM) provider with full Chrome device management capabilities. VMware may acquire Arkin Net

VMware has announced its intention to acquire Arkin Net, a software-defined data center security and operations company. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Brocade and VMware deploy NFV solutions for Smartsky Networks

Brocade and VMware have been selected by SmartSky Networks to build a cutting-edge air-to-ground broadband network. Brocade and VMware will be deploying network functions virtualization (NFV) solutions for high-speed and in-flight connectivity.
