Capgemini unveils its 2012 e-mobility findings

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Capgemini has announced the findings of its 2012 e-mobility report examining how the automotive industry is responding to the technological shifts driven by e-mobility - or electric vehicle - services. The study, entitled "Managing the Change to e-Mobility," shows that while demand for electric vehicles is growing across all modes of transportation and provides exciting growth opportunities for automotive companies, it also creates a need for existing business models to be overhauled. Capgemini highlights the need for a 'new network' to be deployed to bring together established and new stakeholder players to shape the industry with innovative products and services. Ericsson accomplishes LTE handover technology with Qualcomm

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Ericsson together with Qualcomm Incorporated have performed a voice handover based on the 3GPP-standardized functionality Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC) demonstrating users will experience seamless voice services when they move out of LTE coverage, since the call will automatically be handed over to WCDMA or GSM access during the call. Johan Wibergh, Head - Business Unit Networks, Ericsson said, "By accomplishing this advanced LTE handover technology together with Qualcomm, we now ensure that operators can meet consumers' expectations on a high-quality voice over LTE service. Operators will be able to maintain their quality brand for their voice business when they launch voiceover LTE." Mindteck reports Q3 Results, announces Management Change

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Mindteck has reported its financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011 and announced the mutually agreed upon resignation of its CEO and Managing Director. The company's consolidated revenues stood at Rs.55.05 crores for the quarter, as against Rs. 56.80 crores for the previous quarter ended September 30, 2011. A loss of Rs. 2.49 crores, as against Rs.1.80 crores profit after taxes in the previous year and corresponding quarter was reported, primarily due to the mark to market accounting losses on for exhedges.
