HP emerges as the Leader in PC and Printing Systems in India
VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE IDC has recently named HP India(NYSE:HPQ) as #1 vendor of PC (for a third successive quarter) and for Printers yet again. HP has reinforced its technology leadership in India through its superior lineup of innovative, new PC and printing products and offering best-in-class services. "In terms of vendor share, HP recorded its highest-ever quarterly market share with an astounding 34.1% share, accounting for one-third of the India PC market for Q2 2013," said Kiran Kumar, Research Manager, IDC India . "Though the enterprise PC business was primarily driven by the single-largest notebook deal in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the vendor also led the consumer PC business in India with their well-established channel network and incentive programmes tied with their effective pricing strategies," adds Kiran.
