HP emerges as the Leader in PC and Printing Systems in India 
IDC has recently named HP India(NYSE:HPQ) as #1 vendor of PC (for a third successive quarter) and for Printers yet again. HP has reinforced its technology leadership in India through its superior lineup of innovative, new PC and printing products and offering best-in-class services.

"In terms of vendor share, HP recorded its highest-ever quarterly market share with an astounding 34.1% share, accounting for one-third of the India PC market for Q2 2013," said Kiran Kumar, Research Manager, IDC India. "Though the enterprise PC business was primarily driven by the single-largest notebook deal in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the vendor also led the consumer PC business in India with their well-established channel network and incentive programmes tied with their effective pricing strategies," adds Kiran.

"The IT marketplace is transforming rapidly, and technology companies are challenged to deliver innovations that enable the changing needs of consumers and businesses,” said Rajiv Srivastava, President - PPS, Hewlett-Packard India. "These numbers are a validation of HP India’s market strategy to deliver the New Style of IT to our customers through cutting-edge innovations with best-in-class user experiences."

According to the IDC Asia-Pacific Quarterly PC Tracker, HP's PC market share has jumped to 34.1% in Q2 2013. The IDC Quarterly HCP Tracker shows that HP has market leading 57% and 50% share in inkjet and laser printer categories, respectively, while also emerging as #1 vendor in Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) with a 30% share.
