SAP brings Cloud-based learning to University Students

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   To incorporate the study of SAP solutions into university coursework,  SAP AG(NYSE:SAP)  has announced a cloud-based offering designed specifically for students. The student edition of SAP Learning Hub offers a comprehensive library of electronic content that universities can provide to students for self-study covering close-to 150 SAP solutions. It also includes access to e-learning courses, handbooks and other training materials from the SAP Education organization tailored for students' needs. Through the student edition of SAP Learning Hub, students can prepare for future employment on their chosen career path or prepare for SAP certification exams. IDC perceives a slow start for Indian PC Market in Q1'14

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   According to the  International Data Corporation (IDC) , the overall India PC shipments for Q1 2014 stood at 2.03 million units, representing a year-on-year drop of -25.2% over Q1 2013. The overall India PC market continued to decline in Q1 2014, largely owing to poor end-user demand. The overall Commercial PC segment recorded total shipments of 1.02 million units, showing a marginal increase of 4.1% sequentially over Q4 2013.  Kiran Kumar, Research Manager of Client Devices, IDC India , comments, "The overall Commercial PC market showed first signs of improvement over the last 9-10 months as investment activities have improved in the Banking and Government verticals. Vendors are optimistic about the overall market sentiments and believe it will pick up gradually among other verticals too in the course of 2014." The top 3 vendors include Dell, HP and Lenovo.
