IBM signs deal with Daiwa Capital Markets
VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE IBM has signed an agreement with Daiwa Capital Markets to help it with the recovery of their work environment by leveraging IBMs Work Area Recovery (WAR) solution, while also offering technical support. The new IT set-up will act as an alternate backup site from where business operations could resume and function even during disruptions that may arise due to unforeseen circumstances. Sammeer Saurabbh, Executive Director - IT, said, "In the highly competitive capital markets sector, where our business is dependent on our ability to process larger number of financial transactions continuously to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as well as cater to sudden spikes in trading, any unplanned downtime can mean significant financial losses, besides important intangibles like loss of reputation and damage to brand value.
