IBM acquires StrongLoop to strengthen Cloud Portfolio

To strengthen its cloud portfolio, IBM has announced the acquisition of StrongLoop, a provider of popular application development software.The acquisition will help developers connect enterprise applications to mobile, Internet of Things (IoT) and web applications in the cloud. As data becomes increasingly critical in cloud environments, developers are using APIs to create protocols and routines that specify how one application can interact with another application. For example, developers can create new information assets by combining data and services shared by other organizations, ranging from start-ups to global enterprises, to deliver new innovation and business value. Nokia Networks aims to make 5G-Ready Solution available in 2017

TRAI to float another information paper on call drops in 15 days

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Chairman R. S. Sharma has said that TRAI will come out with recommendations on call drops and compensation that may be paid to the consumer in 15 days. Earlier also, TRAI has floated an information paper on call drop. TRAI is circulating another information paper which is going to bring out the quality of service of calls specifically in the areas of Delhi and Mumbai. Thereafter, such surveys shall be extended to other cities, he added while inaugurating “11th National Summit on e-Governance and Digital India”, organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). “After 15 days, we will check whether they are able to improve the situation or not on the issue of call drops.
