Internet users expected to reach double in India: BCG

According to reports by Boston Consulting Group in India, the number of Internet users is expected to reach 400-550 million in 2018 from 200 million in 2014. Internet Users are spending more time with their smartphones as they discover new capabilities and content. Indians, particularly rural consumers, have bypassed the PC and using mobile devices to get online on the go. The first destinations for digital consumers are websites and apps such as Google, Facebook and YouTube .The use of vernacular content online is estimated to increase from 45 per cent in 2013 to more than 60 per cent in 2018...
