RailTel and Google Wi-Fi service now available at 29 railway stations

RailTel in association with Google has commissioned high speed Wi-Fi service at 29 railway stations pan India. Continuing with its exercise of providing high speed Wi-Fi services at railway stations, minister of railways, Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu inaugurated Wi-Fi services at 8 Mumbai suburban railway stations in Mumbai viz., Churchgate, Bandra, Bandra Terminus, Dadar Western Railway, Dadar Central Railway, Khar Road, Kalyan and Lokmanya Tilak. In addition to 8 stations being launched today, RailWire Wi-Fi has been soft launched at 8 more stations namely Sealdah, Allahabad, Pune, Puri, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Chandigarh and will be formally launched soon in different parts of the country... Embedded SIMs to dominate M2M; Reach 50% cellular connections by 2020

Embedded SIM cards will increasingly dominate the M2M (Machine to Machine) space, accounting for more than 50 percent cellular connections by the end of 2020 says a study by Juniper Research. Bharti Airtel and Vodafone SuperNet has started rolling out Aadhaar based e-KYC solution following the notification by the department of telecom, government of India. Airtel e-KYC solution is live in company operated stores across Delhi NCR and the company plans to roll out solution across the country over the next few days.
