Ericsson to power Brazil with 5G

As part of enabling Brazil’s digital agenda, Ericsson has announced that it would support Brazil in the realization of its digital agenda. Ericsson together with America Movil will bring the first 5G test system to Brazil during 2016. Hans Vestberg, President & CEO, Ericsson, said, “ICT can support the transformation of virtually all sectors of society as well as all industries. I am convinced the next generation of mobile broadband and the Internet of Things, enabled by 5G, will further accelerate the opportunities to advance in areas such as health care, education, energy services and agriculture, and within new industry applications.” Read more

Twitter Buys Indian Company ZipDail for $35m

ZipDial has become the first Indian technology product startup to be brought by Twitter.  This is the third such deal led by a global corporation following the acquisitions by Facebook and Yahoo last year. announced in an official tweet  on Tuesday  morning is expected to cost Twitter $34-35 million. The Bengaluru based startup, co-founded by Valerie Wagoner has built a thriving business round the “missed call”. This feature is expected to help Twitter reach people who will come online for the first time in countries such as Brazil, India and Indonesia, mostly using a mobile device. Twitter’s purchase has spurred anticipation in India’s exit-starved technology product sector. According to a study by iSpirt and investment bank Signal Hill, India recorded just 141 deals, compared with 4,728 in the US during 2010 and 2013.   See more

Mahindra Satyam acquires Brazil's Complex IT

AWS intros Brazil Datacenters for Its Cloud Computing Platform

Micromax reaches Brazil

The company is all set to take on its Brazilian competitors with initial investments of around BRL 20 million. Present in many countries across the globe, the Indian mobile manufacturer brings models targeting the youth, focusing on key features such as dual SIM, multimedia and 12 days marathon battery products. Micromax has planned to roll 3 models in Brazil which are to be available at major retails stores across the North-East markets of the country.
