Soon WhatsApp can stop working for iPhone's older iOS versions:  According to a report,   WhatsApp   will soon   stop working on iPhones   which are running on iOS 9. The Facebook-owned WhatApp has reportedly decided to drop support of Apple iPhones running on iOS 9. (iOS 14 is the latest version currently available for iPhones)   A report by WABetaInfo, a website that tracks changes and features on WhatsApp, said that the WhatsApp version 2.21.50 beta no longer supports  iPhones running iOS 9 . Thus only those iPhone users who are using iOS 10 or above will be able to use WhatsApp.   Though the messaging app has not updated the same information and even its FAQ page does not mention if there is a change in its supported operating systems. Apple launches new series of iPhone – XS, XS Max and XR

We understand that Apple has been working on a lot of innovations from time to time - the latest being a TouchID embedded into its iPhone display or the FaceID complemented by a bezel-less display. The iPhone X has been a revolution for Apple in terms of design. 4G Smartphones continued its growth in emerging markets in 2Q, 2017: Gartner

Global sales of smartphones to end-users totalled 366.2 million units in the second quarter of 2017, a 6.7-per cent increase over the second quarter of 2016, according to Gartner, Inc. In the smartphone operating system market, Android extended its lead with 87.7-per cent market share, while iOS accounted for 12.1 per cent.  "Although demand for utility smartphones remains strong, there is a growing demand in emerging markets for 4G smartphones, with more storage, better processors and more advanced cameras. Free Microsoft Office available on iPhone, iPad and Android

Microsoft has announced that its Word, Excel and Powerpoint will be available for free in Android based tablets. It also released an app for its popular Outlook email program to run on Apple’s iPhone and iPad, hoping to attract the millions of users familiar with Outlook from their work desktops. For almost three months Microsoft has been offering the test versions of the Office apps on Android but the announcement marks the availability of finished products from the online Google Play app store. It is a part of company’s strategy and Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella attempts towrest back the initiative in the battle for mobile users, where Microsoft has fallen behind Apple and Google Inc.
