4G Smartphones continued its growth in emerging markets in 2Q, 2017: Gartner

Global sales of smartphones to end-users totalled 366.2 million units in the second quarter of 2017, a 6.7-per cent increase over the second quarter of 2016, according to Gartner, Inc. In the smartphone operating system market, Android extended its lead with 87.7-per cent market share, while iOS accounted for 12.1 per cent. 

"Although demand for utility smartphones remains strong, there is a growing demand in emerging markets for 4G smartphones, with more storage, better processors and more advanced cameras. OpenAI unveils new o3 and o3 mini models, set for 2024 launch

As part of an ongoing effort to stay ahead in the competitive landscape of artificial intelligence,  OpenAI  revealed on December 20 that it was testing its new AI models, o3 and o3 mini.  CEO Sam Altman  revealed that o3 mini is expected to be released by the end of January, with the full version of o3 following soon after. These new models aim to enhance the AI's ability to tackle complex problems, outperforming earlier models and attracting more investment and users. The company’s previous generation, the o1 models, launched in September, focused on addressing complex tasks in fields like science, mathematics, and coding.
