RCOM ropes in Airtel's Vinod Sawhny as CEO

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   As per the latest update,  Reliance Communications  has appointed an ex-Bharti Airtel executive  Vinod Sawhny as its new Chief Executive Officer . Prior to joining RCOM, Sawhny had served Bharti for ten years in various roles spanning telecom, retail and consumer durables. According to a spokesperson from RCom. “The Company’s previous CEO of wireless operations, Gurdeep Singh will have an expanded role, taking overall charge of its consumer business arm comprising wireless, DTH and consumer broadband divisions.” Besides Shawny’s appointment, RCOM has also announced some other top management changes. RCOM’s new management board will include Indian Enterprise Business head Puneet Garg, IT and Services President Suresh Rangachar, Chief Financial Officer Manikantan Iyer and Human Resources head Amit Das.
