Does Canon have any plans of entering the Home Theater Projector space? In your views will large screen TVs drive the growth of Home Projectors in India? Definitely Canon will be looking into entering into the home segment which is one of the important verticals. The reason is that a lot of people like to have small home theatre in their house and the new series that we have launched is going to answer those. One of the features that the new series of projectors have is short throw, which means that even in a small apartment one can have a very good projection. One do not have to go for a large screen which is definitely going to be very expensive.With a projector, one can have the size as bigger than a large screen. Canon India aims to expand in Tier-II, -III and -IV Markets

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   To support development in smaller cities,  Canon India(NYSE:CAJ)  has shared the growth journey for its  Office Imaging Solutions division (OIS) in India for the last 16 years and the growth plans for the division by the end of 2015. The division has also planned deeper penetration in C, D and E towns and further expanded the service location from 546 to 700+ locations within the country. The division is aggressively tapping the SME market, especially the manufacturing units in C-, D- and E-class where the print volume is around Rs.1–2 lakh a month. Canon is working with its channel partners in these cities who will be focussing on SME and PSU segments. VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Canon India Private Ltd(NYSE:CAJ)  has outlined its roadmap for their Office Imaging Solution Division (OIS) for 2013. Canon's OIS division focusses on offering unparalleled document management solutions to the large enterprise, SME and government sectors. The division witnessed a year-on-year growth of 22% in 2012. Canon’s managed document services (MDS) represent approximately 25% of the OIS division’s business returns. As part of its strategy, Canon's OIS division aims to increase its market share to almost 29% in 2013 from 25%. The division will focus more on the SME, Pharmaceutical, BFSI, Automobile, Logistics sectors as they are poised to increasingly embrace MDS to help their growing business.
