2012 Grace Hopper Celebration opens Call for Participation

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE It has been recently announced that the 3rd Annual Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing India has opened its Call for Participation. The annual conference will be presented by the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology and ACM-India.  The theme "Beyond Boundaries" recognizes that technical women need to work together crossing geographical, corporate and role boundaries to become empowered and inspired as one community. The Grace Hopper Celebration is designed to bring the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. Leading researchers present their current work, while special sessions focus on the role of women in today's technology fields, including computer science, information technology, research and engineering. Alan Turing's centenary year celebrated

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Persistent Systems are holding yearlong celebrations to honor the centenary year of Alan Turing; the father of computer science.  The inaugural event of the Centenary Celebrations will be held at the Dewang Mehta Auditorium, Persistent Systems Limited, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. The highlights of this event include a keynote address by Dr. Mathai Joseph, Advisor TCS and a talk on Turing’s Theory of Computation by Vivek Kulkarni, Principal Architect at Persistent Systems.
