RCOM with Facebook launches Internet.org service in India

Reliance Communications has announced that its partnership with Facebook will together offer free data access to useful websites to Reliance customers through Internet.org. Internet.org provides access to popular websites and services with zero data charges in order to make it easier for people to access the Internet, across both the 2G & 3G platforms.  Customers will now enjoy access to popular websites with zero data charges, including Facebook. These services will be available for Reliance customers in the telecom Circles of Mumbai, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The goal is to extend the services to the rest of the country in a phased manner and gradually add more services and websites. Wipro opens 2,000 Seater Delivery Centre

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Wipro has recently declared the formal opening of a 2,000 seat delivery centre in Visakhapatnam, in Andhra Pradesh . The campus was inaugurated by Dr. Daggubati Purandeswari, Hon’ble Minister of State for Human Resource Development (Higher Education), Government of India. The Centre, which is currently operational with about 100 employees, will ramp up to more than 300 over the next three months. Wipro establishes Andhra Pradesh State Data Centre

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Wipro has launched the Andhra Pradesh State Data Centre (APSDC), a Mission Mode Project under the national e-governance plan. It was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Kiran Kumar Reddy, in the presence of Shri Sanjay Jaju, IAS, Secretary to Government, IT&C, and Shri Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Technology Services (APTS). The State Data Centre will host applications and data of various state departments to enable automation of government and citizen services. Spread across 9,000 sq. ft., the Data Centre (DC) has a storage capacity of 50 TB, expandable to 200 TB.
