Wipro opens 2,000 Seater Delivery Centre 
Wipro has recently declared the formal opening of a 2,000 seat delivery centre in Visakhapatnam, in Andhra Pradesh. The campus was inaugurated by Dr. Daggubati Purandeswari, Hon’ble Minister of State for Human Resource Development (Higher Education), Government of India.
The Centre, which is currently operational with about 100 employees, will ramp up to more than 300 over the next three months.
Hari Hegde, Vice-President & Global Head of Operations, Wipro, said, “We have been present in Andhra Pradesh for the last two decades, and it gives us great pride to expand our footprint to Visakhapatnam, the second-largest city in the state. The company’s board has approved the resolution to convert the business into a public entity, renaming it from PhysicsWallah Private Limited to PhysicsWallah Limited, according to a recent regulatory filing. PhysicsWallah, which has revolutionized affordable education in India, intends to list its equity shares on one or more stock exchanges, though no specific timeline has been set.
