This month, FortiGuard Labs observed ongoing development of the new DroidKungFu malware, which has been found to have multiple variants and behaves much like malware found on today's PCs. Derek Manky, Sr. Security Strategist, Fortinet said, "DroidKungFu clearly represents the next evolution in mobile malware. Where earlier attempts at Android malware, such as Zeus in the Mobile (Zitmo), are able to intercept the type of two-factor authentication that banks use to validate the identity of the account holder when logging in, DroidKungFu does much more. By disguising itself as a legitimate VPN client application, the malware quickly gains root access to the device using social engineering. Visa offers new Mobile Prepaid Product

The new product, a Visa prepaid account that can be accessed through a mobile phone, offers consumers in developing countries a secure, reliable, globally interoperable electronic payment account. Adobe announces availability of its Touch Apps in Android Market

Adobe Touch Apps are a family of six intuitive touchscreen applications, inspired by Adobe Creative Suite software. Designed to work with both finger and stylus input, the apps address multiple areas of the creative process: Adobe Photoshop Touch for image editing; Adobe Collage for moodboards; Adobe Debut for presenting and reviewing creative work; Adobe Ideas for sketching; Adobe Kuler for exploring color themes; and Adobe Proto for website and mobile app prototyping.
