Micromax presents Canvas 4 Smartphone in India

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   In a bid to strengthen its flagship Canvas Series in  India, domestic  handset manufacturer  Micromax  has officially launched  Canvas 4 smartphone with 5-inch HD (720x1280) display , touch and scratch-resistant glass feature. It is powered by MT6589, the 1.2 GHZ quad-core processor made by MediaTek that also powers Canvas HD and runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system. It also comes with a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera with an LED flash. Canvas 4 includes 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory which can be expandable up to 32GB. The shell of the device has been made using plastic and an aluminum frame. It also has features like “blow to unlock” the phone. The phone packs smart gestures that allow a user to answer a call by just picking the phone up, put it in silent mode by turning it upside down and dial a number with help of proximity sensor. Vodafone India to implement Cisco's IP Networking Solutions

Dell powers Pixomondo to create Movie Magic

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   In order to generate visual effects with speed and reliability for TV series “Game of Thrones” and “Star Trek Into Darkness”,  Dell(NASDAQ:DELL)  has announced that visual effects studio Pixomondo has deployed its solutions such as  Dell Precision T5500 and T5600 tower workstations and Dell UltraSharp U2410, U2711 and U2312HM monitors. This deployment helped Pixomondo to conceive larger-than-life animations and tackle design challenges for the series. The studio also used Dell PowerVault MD3220 and MD1220 storage and  Dell PowerEdge R410, R620 and R720 servers for quick segment turnaround. HP joins hands with Liqvid to facilitate eLearning in Rural India

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   As part of  HP's(NYSE:HPQ)  commitment to deliver technology-based education solutions across rural India, HP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with  eLearning content solutions company, Liqvid . As per the alliance, HP will deliver Liqvid’s unique bilingual EnglishEdge software through the HP Lab-in-Box network. Liqvid will be responsible for providing the relevant content, conduct train-the-trainer programmes, wherever required, and extend its offering to all future HP Lab-in-Box projects.This collaboration is expected to increase awareness of this training programme to nearly 300,000 additional learners and provide access to HP LIFE e-learning at all of Liqvid’s study centres.
