Informatica strengthens its Senior Leadership Team

Informatica Corporation has announced two executive appointments to further strengthen the leadership team. Ginna Raahauge has joined as Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), reporting to Mike Berry, Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. NETRACK partners with Silentium

LG strengthens its India leadership with new MD

LG Electronics has roped in Kim Ki-Wan as the Managing Director of its India operations with effect from August 1, 2015. Presently, Kim is the Executive Vice-President of LG’s Home Entertainment Overseas Sales & Marketing Group. LG India has strengthened its market leadership in consumer durables under Kwon’s tenure and continued to register double-digit growth in core consumer durable business in first half of 2015 as in 2014 as well. Politicians Hacked over security testing of Public Wi-Fi

An investigation conducted in London has shown the ease with which personal data can be hacked when the target is using public Wi-Fi. Security and privacy software company F-Secure teamed up with penetration testing expert Mandalorian Security Services and the Cyber Security Research Institute to conduct the test by hacking into the devices of three politicians. The exercise was carried out with the permission of the politicians, Rt. Hon. David Davis MP, Mary Honeyball MEP and Lord Strasburger. The politicians, despite holding important positions within the different parliaments, admitted that they had received no formal training or information about the relative ease with which computers can be breached while using public Wi-Fi – a service they all admitted to using regularly.
