Foxconn achieves 200% Growth

On an average, Foxconn has sold 20,000 motherboards per month during the year. Yahoo!'s Open Hack completes 5 Years in India

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Yahoo! India Research & Development has announced the fifth edition of Open Hack in India, which will take place on August 11 & 12, 2012 in Bangalore. Over 2,000 developers have registered this year, of which around 700 developers from 20 states across India have been accepted for the event. Yahoo!'s Open Hack 2012 begins on August 11 with a series of technical workshops, followed by a hackathon - a non-stop 24-hour coding marathon. The key Internet themes under which developers are encouraged to hack include multi-device experiences, search, communications, mobile and video.  To build their application, hackers are provided with popular technologies and tools from the Open Web, including Yahoo!'s YUI, YQL and Mojito, as well as geo-location and Flickr APIs (Application Programmable Interface). Duo partners for network modernization

The agreement includes modernization of the mobile network, refarming the 900 MHz GSM frequency band, and providing infrastructure and services for LTE (4G) rollout in Sydney and Perth. In addition, as part of this agreement, Nokia Siemens Networks is the sole LTE core provider for Optus. "Spectrum is a scarce resource, so operators are seeking ways to make the best use of it. With this deal, Optus will re-use its existing spectrum to modernize its radio network and also offer 4G services cost-efficiently in one of the largest spectrum migration programs globally. VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   "The Wipro San Francisco Marathon" (TWSFM) was run on Sunday, the 29th July, 2012, and culminated with the winners taking home the spoils.Nathan Krah and Devon Crosby-Helms were the winners of The 2012 Wipro San Francisco Marathon.  Both athletes claimed a prize purse of $1,500. Krah said, "Even coming from a mountainous area, this was still really hard.  It was just an endless assault of hills." Crosby-Helms said, "That was extremely satisfying. This was my third time racing here, and I really felt I had a good chance to win." The Wipro San Francisco Marathon this year drew more than 7,000 runners, a marked increase from the 4,000 who finished in 2006. Another 18,000 runners participated in the race's two separate half marathons, as well as a 5K and Munchkins Kids Fun Run. Cisco acquires NDS

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   It is recently announced that Cisco has completed the acquisition of NDS Group Ltd., that enables service providers and media companies to securely deliver and monetize new video experiences. On March 15, 2012, Cisco announced a definitive agreement to acquire NDS. NDS' employees join Cisco's Service Provider Video Technology Group (SPVTG), led by Senior Vice-President  & General Manager Jesper Andersen. With the close of this transaction, Dr. Abe Peled, formerly NDS Chairman & CEO, becomes Senior Vice-President & Chief Strategist for Cisco's Video and Collaboration Group, of which SPVTG is a part. Dr. Peled reports to Marthin De Beer, Senior Vice-President of Cisco's Video and Collaboration Group.
