NEC extends Its Unified Communication Space 
NEC India has announced the latest generation of its Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) software, UNIVERGE Cloud Services for its SMB and business enterprises customers in India. The UNIVERGE Cloud services enables access anywhere, anytime, operates across premise, cloud or hybrid environments and ensures business continuity through a single application platform.
NEC's UNIVERGE Cloud services includes a comprehensive suite of voice, data and video services featuring a simple, web-based end-user client that is deployable across any device.  The cloud service integrates multiple communication and collaboration tools in a simple, service-based model that is designed to replace high costs with an affordable monthly fee.
Ravinder Raina, Country Head - Private Network Solutions (PNS), NEC India Pvt. Ltd., said, "We are strong in the SME space in India and we see a strong uptake for cloud-based unified communication solutions amongst large as well as small and medium enterprises. Indian SMEs currently contribute about 60% of NEC's revenues in the telephony space. With the launch of this solution, we aim to target this segment is a more focussed manner. With our suite of customized telephony solutions, we aim to attain 35% market share in the Indian SME segment in FY2012-13."
