The announcement was attended by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Chilean President Sebastian Pinera. As part of the agreement, ZTE Chile will donate 4G equipments to the centre and the Universidad de Chile's Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences will provide human capital and laboratories. The university and ZTE will sign an MOU to expand the functions of innovation centre to include training for ZTE engineers and Universidad de Chile students.
