HP announces seizure of over Rs 35.5 crore counterfeit print cartridges by local authorities

HP has announced the seizure of over Rs.35.5 crore worth of counterfeit print cartridges and components by local authorities in 46 cities across 18 states in India, protecting customers from fraudulent products. “With counterfeit HP print cartridges, customers purchase what they often assume to be a genuine HP product, but they instead receive a cartridge that provides them with an inferior print experience. HP is committed to protect our customers and ensure they receive the right cartridge that prints in high quality when they choose Original HP print cartridges,” said HP spokesperson. The authorities raided and took legal actions against manufacturers and sellers in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Haryana states. Polycom wins rate contract agreement with DGS&D

Narendra Nayak at the helm of BlackBerry

BlackBerry has appointed Narendra Nayak as the company’s new Managing Director for India operations. During the last one year, the company faced downsizing in the employee base due to a global transformation drive, wherein it is trying to reduce its dependence on the hardware or smartphone business and focus more on software and solutions for enterprises. Nayak has taken over the responsibilities from Matthew Tonkin, BlackBerry’s Vice-President, Carrier Sales and Distribution, APAC.
