Apple launches new series of iPhone – XS, XS Max and XR

Apple has launched three new iPhone models - the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. The iPhone XS and XS Max are upgrades to the iPhone X launched last year. While the iPhone XS has the same 5.8-inch screen as before, the iPhone XS Max is Apple’s largest iPhone ever at 6.5 inches.

The iPhone XS is an upgrade on the iPhone X and differs from its predecessor primarily because it sports a Super Retina display with better resolution, the latest 7nm A12 Bionic processor which is much faster and a better camera setup overall. The iPhone XS Max is a larger version of the iPhone XS with a 6.5-inch display. Though Apple calls it its largest phone ever, it is pretty much the same size as the iPhone 8 Plus. This phone has a larger battery - again the largest ever in an Apple phone - than the iPhone XS and can give up to 90 minutes of extra usage.

The iPhone XR is essentially a fusion of the iPhone X in front. This is also the more affordable of all phones. To bring the price down Apple has packed in an LCD screen instead of OLED, aluminium instead of stainless steel on the chassis and a single camera at the rear instead of a dual camera system.....Read More

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications. ITI powered with 58 start-ups and Technology OEMs

In the recently held two day conference in the silicon valley of Bengaluru, ITI Ltd. has partnered with 58 start-ups and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), covering the manufacturing of a wide range of ICT and IoT-based solutions, where 400 start-ups have applied for.
