CommScope expands Solutions for Sector Sculpting 
CommScope has innovated sector sculpting to satisfy the tens of thousands of spectators who fill venues in numerous cities every day. The sector sculpting technique is deployed via the new family of CommScope specialty antennas and combined with an outdoor distributed antenna system to address the unique needs of high traffic, highly visible venues that can strain or impede networks that are ill-prepared for the crush of wireless traffic generated by customers.

CommScope provides a broad range of sector sculpting solutions as part of its newly-expanded portfolio of antennas, which now pairs products from the legacy Andrew Solutions brand with antenna innovation offered by Argus Technologies. 
The CommScope antenna features 2x9 multi-beam antenna and is MIMO-compatible.  This solution provides the power of 18 beams into a single antenna to provide capacity-optimized coverage throughout a venue served by a DAS.  It features two rows of nine beams each covering both high and low seating areas in locations with as many as 10,000 to 100,000 spectators.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
