HP announces grant winners of EIFI

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   HP has announced the grant winners  of the Education Innovation Fund for India (EIFI), a collaborative project between the HP Sustainability & Social Innovation group and the India Council for Integral Education (ICIE), an initiative of the Sri Aurobindo Society. The US$1 million fund is designed to promote education projects that use innovative learning approaches in Science, Technology and Mathematics (STEM), pedagogy, curriculum development and holistic learning to advance education delivery and reach in India. The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM, A) was awarded the top grant of Rs.1 crore. Their ready-to-scale project titled Educational Innovation Bank (EI Bank) is designed to improve the quality of education in the public school system, based on the work of innovative school teachers.... Intel-DST APAC Challenge Winners announced

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Intel has recently announced the Winners of the Second "Intel-DST Asia-Pacific Challenge for 2012". Teams from India, Indonesia and the Philippines have won the Intel-DST Asia-Pacific Challenge for 2012 for their innovative projects.  The Contest reviewed technology innovations from 12 Asia-Pacific countries. The two winning teams will get a chance to participate in the "Intel Global Challenge at UC Berkeley" to be held from November 2012. A cash prize of US$15,000 was split amongst the winners. "We believe that advancement in technology is the real driver for economic and social development. With this initiative, Intel seeks to provide a platform to promote and accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship among the technology start-ups in the Asia-Pacific region. Cisco India felicitates Winners

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Cisco has concluded "Race to Rio", a promotional programme for its partners aimed at motivating and accelerating sales across the country. The programme, which was held over a period of four and a half months (September 2011 to January 2012), recorded an impressive registration of over 2,500 partners from over 160 cities spread across the SAARC countries. At the end of the programme, 37 partners and distributors won an all-expense paid trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to participate in the Rio Carnival held during the last week of February 2012. During their visit to Brazil, Cisco recognized their efforts by felicitating all the winners at a grand awards ceremony in Rio de Janeiro. A further 150 partners received prizes ranging from Bose Home Theatre Systems, LG 32" HD 3D LED TVs, Sony HD Camcorders, Canon DSLR Cameras, to Samsung Galaxy S2 Phones.
