Intel-DST APAC Challenge Winners announced 
Intel has recently announced the Winners of the Second "Intel-DST Asia-Pacific Challenge for 2012". Teams from India, Indonesia and the Philippines have won the Intel-DST Asia-Pacific Challenge for 2012 for their innovative projects. 
The Contest reviewed technology innovations from 12 Asia-Pacific countries. The two winning teams will get a chance to participate in the "Intel Global Challenge at UC Berkeley" to be held from November 2012. A cash prize of US$15,000 was split amongst the winners.
"We believe that advancement in technology is the real driver for economic and social development. With this initiative, Intel seeks to provide a platform to promote and accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship among the technology start-ups in the Asia-Pacific region. This platform provides them with the requisite skill, visibility and network to accelerate their venture," said Ashutosh Chadha, Director -Corporate Affairs, Intel South Asia.
"Organizations like Intel and APIN who share their expertise and help in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit play a crucial role in the development of innovative technological skills among start-ups. This collaboration provides a platform for exchange of ideas, networking and business opportunities for innovators, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, investors, international officials, policy-makers and academia from over 12 countries," said H. K. Mittal, Advisor & Member-Secretary, NSTEDB-DST, Government of India.
