IESA inks MoU with STPI and IIIT-Bhubaneswar to establish second ESDM Incubator

India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with STPI and IIIT-Bhubaneswar to establish the second ESDM Incubator in Bhubaneswar. Building on the success of the Electropreneur Park Delhi, this incubator will be housed at STPI Bhubaneswar to nurture start-ups and help them scale up by providing access to funds, market and mentors. The first Electropreneur Park housed at Delhi University has been operational for more than two years and has successfully incubated 22 companies with a combined market valuation of Rs.150 crore. EIITF 2013 concludes with a warm reception from Kolkata IT Channel

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   VARINDIA  for the fourth consecutive year successfully concluded its Eastern India Information Technology Fair (EIITF) in the City of Joy, Kolkata. The topic for this year’s event was “ICT Confluence: Governments Plan for e-Governance”. This event is an umbrella under which CEOs, CXOs from vendors, VARs, distributors and system integrators from the ICT sector come together to learn through knowledge sharing by way of white paper presentation, AV showcasing and participating in the interactive sessions about the latest trends that shape the IT industry. Unveiling several initiatives, speakers from various verticals of government, PSUs, industry bodies and industrialists also participated in the function. VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   With the economic uncertainties looming large, STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) scheme, which is a 100 per cent Export Oriented Unit scheme with tax benefits under the Income Tax Act and with facilities such as single-window clearance, has once again come to the forefront of conscious attention.  Some state governments including West Bengal are pitching for the revival of the STPI scheme which ended March 2011.
