Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, is all set to become a Wi-Fi enabled city. The free Wi-Fi service will help the citizens to access Internet at public places, with the help of handheld devices. As part of the smart city project to make the city Wi-Fi enabled, the state government’s IT Department has planned to invest Rs.150 crore. The state nodal agency, Odisha Computer and Application Center (OCAC) and Software Technology Park of India (Bhubaneswar), is working closely towards this ambitious project. VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   It has been recently announced that the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), in close cooperation with BSNL, has upgraded the First Rural Exchange Centre at Kittur from C-DOT RAX to MAX-NG for NGN services, while celebrating its 25 years of establishment on 7th August, 2012. The upgradation of MAX-NG would be implemented through the BSNL network across the country within 2-3 years, upgrading around 2.5 crore exchanges, both urban and rural.    Earlier on Tuesday, C-DOT celebrated the completion of 25 years of India's first C-DOT RAX at Kittur (Karnataka) and the function was held simultaneously at C-DOT Centres. Adviser to the Prime Minister on PIII in Delhi along with C-DOT's Executive Director Shri V. V. R. Sastry chaired the function in Delhi. Shri Vipin Tyagi, Director, C-DOT, and Shri P.
