Dell has recently concluded the “Government Connect Conference” in Kolkata. The programme sought to emphasize the need for deploying IT infrastructure, thereby improving government functioning and also understand the pain points and solutions pertaining to IT infrastructure for government stakeholders in the region. As per “IT Pulse” – a survey conducted before the conference to understand the challenges faced by stakeholders in adopting technology – West Bengal has emerged as the new dominant IT hub. To understand the government’s perspectives on challenges and pain-points, as well as to highlight the emergence and widespread adoption of new technologies, including Cloud, Data Center and Mobility solutions, Dell has conducted a Government Connect Conference in Lucknow. The year-long series, themed “Future-ready IT, for Future-ready Government”, is a joint initiative with CMR, the ICT, ESDM and Lifesciences industry marketing services company. The Lucknow event aims to create a system where there is no physical interface between citizens and government offices and all services are delivered at the doorsteps.
