Zebra Technologies ropes in Jeff Schmitz as CMO

Zebra Technologies has appointed Jeff Schmitz as Senior Vice-President & Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately. Schmitz is responsible for company’s marketing strategy, programme development and tools needed to create awareness, consideration and preference of the Zebra brand globally. He has replaced Juliann Larimer who is now Vice-President of North America Sales for Zebra. How Motorola's enterprise biz acquisition will help Zebra?

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   According to the latest report, Barcode printer maker  Zebra Technologies is all set to acquire Motorola Solutions' enterprise business. Going by the reports, the latest deal will close for $3.45 billion in cash. The deal will help Zebra to tap the opportunity presented by the profusion of devices, ranging from cars to smoke alarms, connected to the Internet. After the acquisition, about 4,500 Motorola Solutions' employees will join Zebra. According to the official statement by Anders Gustafsson, CEO, Zebra Technologies, the company has entered into an agreement to acquire the Enterprise business of Motorola Solutions.
