A Digital India Initiative - BharatNet scheme links 1.2 lakh panchayats through optical fibre : As the backbone of Digital India Initiatives to provide Internet, the e-panchayat facility at all panchayats, the first phase of BharatNet scheme has connected 1.2 lakh of the targeted 2.5 lakh gram panchayats (GPs), or village blocks, through optical fibre, with 1.16 lakh of them ready with broadband services as well, Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha informed Parliament on December 12. Delhi High court ordered all-India ban on the online sale of medicines : The Delhi High Court has ordered for all-India ban on the online sale of medicines. The order was issued on Wednesday Dated - December 12, 2018  by a division bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice V Kameswar Rao. The Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed by Dr Zaheer Ahmed. The judgement comes a  day after the Madras High Court reserved its verdict after the final hearing in a similar case. Marriott data hacking roots back to Chinese spies…!!! : The cyber attack on the hotel group Marriott International Inc ,and piled up personal details of roughly 500 million guests was part of a Chinese intelligence-gathering effort that also hacked health insurers and the security clearance files of millions more Americans, according to two people briefed on the investigation. The hackers, they said, are left clues suggesting they were working for a Chinese government intelligence gathering operation, familiar with the matter, suspected of working on behalf of the Ministry of State Security, the country’s Communist-controlled civilian spy agency.
