ASUS expands Its Eee PC Portfolio with New Launches

ASUS has launched the colourful yet powerful ASUS 1015PEM & 1215T Eee PCs. The Eee PCs 1015PEM & 1215T will be available in a variety of colours ranging from Silver, Black, Red and White and offer an excellent proposition for on-the-move computing with their high-performance and excellent battery life utilizing advanced platforms of Intel and AMD Chipsets.

Speaking about the launch of the ASUS 1015PEM and 1215T Eee PCs, Alex Huang, Country Manager for System Business at ASUS India, said, "ASUS wanted to refresh its Eee PC range with a new range of colours and we believe that the ASUS 1015PEM and 1215T Eee PCs will blend in perfectly with consumers need for excellent computing experience besides being a treat for sore eyes with multi-hued models, thus making great gifts! Utilizing the advanced Intel and AMD core processors, the Eee PCs provide superior performance leading to great multimedia experience, besides being priced competitively will be the toast of the season for netbook lovers."

Based on the stylish Seashell concept with multi-colour models, the 1015PEM and 121T Eee PCs feature Ergonomic Chiclets keyboard and their large touchpads deliver a comfortable feel even after prolonged periods of use. The 1015PEM will be available in three fresh colours (Marble Black/ Marble Blue/ Marble Red) and the 1215T series of Eee PC will be available in Marble Black/ Marble Silver/ Crystal Red.

The ASUS 1015PEM is powered by the latest Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor to outperform any single-core processor-based netbooks in the market by almost 23%. On the other hand, the ASUS 1215T ships in with the ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics processor with SO-DIMM DDR III. Based on the AMD Nile platform, the 1215T delivers performance that exceeds that of the CULV processors found in the market today ensuring clear and crisp visuals, while the HDMI output port lets users enjoy Full HD 1080p video playback on an HDTV or projector.

The ASUS 1015PEM and 1215T Eee PCs will be available with ASUS national distibutors - Rashi Peripherals and Netplace Technologies as well as with all ASUS Gold Partners.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
