Kolkata gets its first Samsung IT Brand Shop

Samsung Electronics has inaugurated its first dedicated IT Brand shop in Kolkata. Located at CR Avenue in Kolkata, this brand shop displays and retails the entire gamut of Samsung IT products including the Company's sleek and stylish Netbooks and Notebooks, its advanced 2010 range of Printers and hi-end Monitors.

The IT Brand shop was inaugurated on site by Uday Bhat, General Manager, Samsung IT Solution Business. Announcing the launch, Bhat stated, "The new brand shop in Kolkata represents our endeavour to have a pan-India presence with our exclusive IT Brand Shops. These exclusive IT showrooms represent a one-stop shop where our consumers can see and experience all our IT products in one location."

The new brand shop has on display the N series and R series of Samsung Netbooks and Notebooks as well as the Company's recently launched SF & NF series of Notebooks and Netbooks. The range of Printer products on display include the newly launched World's Smallest Laser Multi-Functional Printer-SCX 3201 which encapsulates the Samsung business philosophy of bringing "True Value" printers in the market.

The IT brand shop in Kolkata will also display the newly launched 70 series PX2370 LED monitor in India, besides displaying select premium mobile models from its range of over 50 handsets priced in the range between Rs.1,600 and Rs.40,000.

With the launch of Kolkata brand Shop, Samsung now has ten exclusive Brand shops which sell dedicated Samsung products like Netbook & Notebooks, Printers and Monitors, across India in cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Allahabad, Bareily, Meerut and Lucknow.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
