WatchGuard introduces Next-Generation Firewall for Enterprises

WatchGuard Technologies has unveiled its most powerful security appliance, the WatchGuard XTM 2050, a next-generation firewall (NGFW) that provides enterprise-class security for large enterprises and data centers that require high-performance firewall, application control and intrusion prevention system (IPS) to protect against data theft, malware and security breaches.

WatchGuard Application Control capabilities empower administrators to exercise fine-grained control over 1,800 applications, and understand which applications are being used and by whom. Administrators can enforce acceptable use policies for users and groups by category, application, and application sub-functions.

All WatchGuard NGFW bundles include LiveSecurity Plus, which provides 24x7 web and telephone support. Customers can upgrade to LiveSecurity Gold or LiveSecurity Platinum for extended protection. LiveSecurity Gold provides 24x7 support, with a target 1-hour response time for support incidents.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
