HP with Redington launches Indigo 5600

Hewlett-Packard has launched its new Indigo Press 5600 for the Indian market. HP has partnered with Redington as the official distributor of this newly launched press. Built on the success of HP Indigo 5500, the HP Indigo 5600 model runs at 68 ppm in standard colour mode, 136 ppm for two-colour jobs and 272 ppm for mono jobs.

In addition, the press features EPM, allowing colour printing at 90 ppm. A new red-fluorescing invisible ink for the HP Indigo 5600 model gives PSPs a path to pursue new security-printing applications. A white ink option and upgraded media sensors on the press allows full-colour printing on black and fully transparent substrates, features that help PSPs expand into new markets. The white ink feature, when combined with Color-Logic software, also gives users the ability to produce metallic effects.

Puneet Chadha, Director – Graphics Solutions Business, HP Imaging and Printing Group India, said, “As a technology company, HP has always endeavoured to offer significant improvements in turnaround time, efficiency and marketing response that factors in making us one of the world’s most popular digital colour production solutions in commercial printing, print-on-demand books, and direct and transpromotional mail. We are very bullish about the newly launched Indigo 5600 as it will open gateways for new business opportunities for our Indian print partners and the existing Indigo users”
